Winter Sunset

Impressionism painting made up of blues, greens, yellow, pink, orange and browns. "Winter Sunset" is a vibrant depiction of a tree in front of a sunset in the middle of winter. The sides are painted brown to tidy up the edges so that it may be displayed without a frame.

The painting was created in 2017 and is being sold by the artist. It is an 18 x 24 canvas and signed on the front and back.

I included pictures of the painting in a frame, but the frame is not included in the sale. Additionally, I took pictures from different angles, as the light reflects off of the paints, making it difficult to take clear pictures off of all of the different areas [with a flash] all at once.

***"Winter Sunset" is currently being auctioned on eBay as of 3/25/2017. If you are interested in this painting, click here to bid: Winter Sunset

Lazy River with Flowers

This painting is of a calm river passing through a beautiful landscape. On the far side of the river is a forest with shade trees lining the river. In the foreground are purple, yellow, and white flowers. You can see the reflection of the trees in the water-line and there are also smatterings of purple and yellow flowers amongst the trees.

"Lazy River with Flowers" is continued on all sides; therefore, the painting can be displayed with or without a frame [there is no frame included with the painting].

The painting was created in 2015 and is being sold by the artist. It is an 18 x 24 canvas and signed on the front and back.

***The auction on this painting will end on Sunday 3/25/2017. It already has one bid, so it is definitely going to be gone at the end of the auction. If you are interested in bidding on this painting, follow the following link:

Bridge over Stream

"Bridge over Stream" is an impressionism painting. Impressionism, as many of you, is less about the small details and more about capturing an image in a single moment. The painting blends beautifully into a soft image that will brighten any room. The sides are painted brown to tidy up the edges so that it may be displayed without a frame if desired.

I added a number of photos from different angles, as the light from the flash reflects off of the surface in some areas. Additionally, I took some pictures in a frame so you could get an idea of how it would look framed; however, the frame is not included in the sale.

The painting was created in 2017. It is an 18 x 24 canvas and signed on the front and back.
***It is currently being sold on eBay. Here is the link if you are interested in bidding: http://www.ebay.com/itm/232276316692?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649

"Pathway through the Forest"

"Pathway through the Forest" is an 11x14 oil painting on canvas board. A frame would be necessary to display this artwork. This painting is full of a variety of spring colored flowers including white, yellow, blue, and purple. Behind the wooded area, you can see a break in the trees where a yellow light shines through.
This painting is currently for auction on eBay.

"Pecan Tree and Blue Bonnets" is an 11x14 oil painting on canvas board. I painted this picture based on the pecan tree in my yard with the white picket fence that sits behind it, highlighting the country nature of the work. For me, the blue bonnets enhance the tree's colors and brings a feeling of spring to light.

"Moonlight Cove"

"Moonlight Cove" is an 11"x14" oil painting on canvas board. The primary colors used are Prussian blue, white, black (for the rocks in the background) and brown (sand). This impressionist painting demonstrates the simple beauty of a full moon reflecting on the water. Currently on sale on eBay.

"Snow Forest"

"Snow Forest" is a 16x20 oil painting on canvas board. It requires a frame to be displayed. One thing that is apparent while looking at these snapshots of the painting, pictures or maybe the computer screen can distort colors. The photos with the purer whites are closer to the actual painting color. The painting is completely made with two colors: shades of Prussian blue and white.
Currently on sale on eBay.

"Evergreen Stream"

"Evergreen Stream" is painted on a 16x20 canvas. It is painted on the sides so it may be displayed with or without a frame. Following the stream through the evergreen forest, one's eyes arrive at a distant mountain range. It is a cloudy day with a crispness in the air. A perfect place for a hike or a romantic picnic.
 Currently on sale on eBay.

"Island Sunset"

"Island Sunset" is on a 16x20 canvas. It is painted around the sides of the canvas, so it may be displayed with or without a frame. Prominent in this painting are shades of Prussian blues, sap green, orange, and cadmium yellow. The island sits in the middle of the lake and you can see the main land in the distance. the trees reflect in the water and the colors of the sunset sky are mirrored in the water. This painting is currently on sale on ebay until Friday 7/19/13.

Spring Approaching Mountain

"Spring Approaching Mountain" is an updated version of my last painting. I was unhappy with my final outcome, so I put brush to canvas and made it more to my liking. In the last version, it was simply a field in front of the  mountain, trees and around the lake. I decided I wanted more brush in the forefront, so I added and tried to bring background colors forward. As I love the spring...find a sense of happiness and ease in the idea of spring, I wanted to use the brighter colors. Additionally, I wanted to have these feelings...this idea of spring overtake the cold nature of the winter mountain. As a result, I renamed my original painting, as the feeling of the painting changed.

I have been out of the painting loop for a few years. I was focused on my studies and struggling to complete something that eventually didn't really make me happy. I did get my master's in psychology.  I thought I wanted to be a psychologist (doctorate), but it became clear that I am simply an artist. I love to paint and I love to write. I am a creative sole who comes from a family of creative people. My youngest sister is a food artist (don't tell her I said that). Why fight the inevitable?  I hope you enjoy my painting and if you are interested in reading my works, which are mostly biologically based (natural remedies), please click on the following link. I have a few articles published, but more are to come! So far I have written articles about the health benefits of honey, facebook and depression, ADHD, and hormone imbalances related to weight problems. Feel free to follow me if interested, I would love to hear from you.
